I can't decide which is worse - the fact that this made it on to network television or that it's doing so during 'Prime Time'.
Never interrupt me when I'm trying to interrupt you.

And it's not even the FOX network (home to 'Deadliest Car Crashes', 'When Animals Attack', etc.).

'Tabloid TV' is getting to be a very annoying reality.

That show was a load of CRAP! I can't believe any network would be so irresponsible as to air that kind of drivel! With the exception of the shark and barracuda attacks, the people who had bad encounters with 'deadly sea creatures' were molesting the animals. The constant voice overs describing 'vicious unprovoked attacks' ignored the obvious intrusions by the humans into the animals territory.

Example: The man attacked by the octopus was just 'observing' the female protecting her eggs on the coral. Since when does 'observing' include trying to pry it off the rocks? Then the narrator warns that even the seemingly harmless octopus can become aggressive with no warning. The woman who was 'viciously attacked' by the pilot whale was also molesting the animal. However, after the video was originally aired last year, she was arrested and charged with molesting marine animals. Federal law requires humans to keep a certain distance from marine mammals, and I believe she was subsequently fined for her ridiculous actions.

While I am not an extremist left-wing animal rights activist, I do believe that if you intrude in an animals territory and it perceives you as a threat, it might attack. Bottom line: Respect nature. How many pike fishermen would attempt to lip a big pike? Act like you have a little sense, and nature won't kill you.
Do the hard jobs first. The easy jobs will take care of themselves.
