WHEN FISHING FOR TROUT, YOU SHOULD ALWAYS BE EQUIPPED WITH BERKLEYS POWERBAIT. IVE CAUGHT MORE TROUT WITH POWERBAIT THAN IVE CAUGHT WITH WORMS OR ANY OTHER BAITS RELATED TO WHAT TROUT FEED ON. ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE WATER YOU ARE FISHING ON IS UNPOPULARIZED. THE MORE PEOPLE IN YOUR FISHING HOLE, THE LESS CHANCE YOU HAVE OF CATCHING THE BIG ONE, OR SMALL ONES FOR THAT MATTER.IM NOT SAYING DONT FISH WHERE THERE ARE PEOPLE, I AM SAYING IT IS BEST TO FISH WHERE THERE IS NOT A CROWD. OF COURSE THE CROWD IS GOING TO BE THERE FOR A REASON, BUT DONT LET IT GET TO YOUR HEAD. TRY TO FIND YOUR OWN PRIVATE HOLE. ALWAYS READ THE LAKE, AND USE YOUR GOOD JUDGEMENT. WHO KNOWS, ANOTHER PERSONS WORST FISHING SPOT CAN BE YOUR BEST. IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT YOUR USING, HOW YOUR USING IT, AND IF THE FISH IN THAT AREA ARE FEEDING RAPIDLY OR SLOWLY. WHEN FISHING IN A WELL KNOWN LAKE, ALWAYS KEEP UP ON THAT LAKES PLANTATIONS...(WHEN AND WHERE) TRY TO KEEP A GOOD STUDY ON WHERE THEY ARE MIGRATING TO. GOOD LUCK/FISHIN

Several years ago when Power Bait first came out I was fascinated by the notion of a company using scientific principles in developing a fishing product. So much of the industry, sport and art of fishing is composed of hype, superstition and pseudo-science. I tried PowerBait (Trout Bait) in several locations around Michigan as well as one place in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. It was totally useless. There were other people catching fish using other methods and lures/bait. My suspicion is that PowerBait simulates something that hatchery fish are familiar with. It does not appear to stimulate feeding. It does not appear to work with wild fish or older hatchery raised fish.
I've also tried PowerBait worms while shallow water fishing for bass. While the bass may hold on to the PowerBait much longer than other worms, I've found that the Creme Scoundrel had an action that was much more likely to draw strikes. I have had good success when fishing the three inch PowerWorm when fish are really finicky. I think the 3' PowerBait worm is the smallest plastic worm that still has the shape of a worm, ie. it's not a stiff little grub/maggot shaped plastic lure but still proportioned like a worm.

While fishing with an other old timer, he 'lent' me some 'trout worms' sold by Bass Pro shops in their master catalog. These worms are about 3/16' in diameter and about 3 ' long. No tail, no shape, sort of like a piece of spaghetti, but he converted me. I've used them for trout, panfish, bass and crappie and I've had more success than with any other bait or lure. I can't tell if there is a scent of flavor involved, but the fish can't resist them. Hope this helps..... Dave

To be thrown upon one's own resources, is to be cast into the very lap of fortune; for our faculties then undergo a development and display an energy of which they were previously unsusceptible.
