I read a very interesting review on the book Saving Homewaters: The Story of Montana’s Streams and Rivers by Gordon Sulivan on the Caddies Fly. Apparently, Montana has been scientifically researching the well being of its rivers and fish since 1954 and some of the solutions for a better and healthier trout population are not all that complicated - and should be easily enforced. Plus - a lot of them seem like plain common sense to me.
