http://fishing.fuelspace.com/salmonrun.php has an interesting 37-page flash document that shows you the proportion of salmon arriving in British Columbia fishing areas each week. For example, a table in the document may indicate that on average 0.18 (18%) of the coho run near Vancouver arrives during the 4th week in July.

salmon run timings in uk and ireland. When we are going on a salmon fishing trip ,we base it on the big tides. Most of the big runs concide with the big tides and full moon, and also low pressure, which causes rain and high water in the rivers.BIG TIDES and full moon affect sea fish also,

Yes the salmon hit on the big tides in British Columbia too. In page 57 of a study shown on Google Books http://books.google.com/books?id=tZYR2gYt4jkC& printsec=frontcover the data indicate that twice as many big catches are made on the flood tides compared to the ebb tides.
