Going to try the June Lake loop area 1st week June. We usually hang around the Bishop area, its time for some new water. Looking for a few good streams. And if anyone can recommend some good camping with stream access, please do so.

thanx

Try the streams connecting Silver Lake and Grant Lake. Rush Creek is outstanding for brownies. There is a good campground at Silver Lake Resorts. One side of the highway is for motor homes and just across the street by the stream is tent camping and motor homes. Silver Lake Resort, (619) 648-7525 is within walking distance and has a tackle shop, groceries and restaurant.. If you want to go up 395 further north to the Tioga Pass, there is excellent stream fishing on the drive back into Saddlebag Lake, about 2 miles in from the main road. The main road I'm referring to is the back road into Yosemite. If you need more help for direction while up in the loop, try The Tiger Bar, in June Lake. Locals are friendly and informative.
