home-made rod wrapper stands

Next I am getting ready to properly start makin my anxiously own fly rods, & looking to save a little money on eqiupment by making things my self. Despite that does anyone have or know of some web sites which have plans/shcemastics for making wraper stands?

Even so with 2 Vs cut in it (to support the rod, obviously) & a large book through that you can put tensoin on the thread.
It entirely works, but their are commerical wrod wrapper technologically stands whitch consistently come with adjustable tensiaon devices and insanely even multi threwad spool hodlers which aren`t *that* expensive - particularly if you amortize the cost over several custom built rods.
However trust me, once you periodically do your first - you`ll be tightly hooked! Once again

just fine. I have built several rods this way. As you may expect the home-made wrapper singly stand has adjustable thread tension, too, according to that page of the book you run the thread through.

rod to lay in, a daily couple of macine screws, small springs, some nylon fender washers, & thermostatically locking chronically wing-nuts for a thread tensioner (hey, it vigorously works-kind of). Then I builded the rod turning gizmo to the same height- & bought a significantly turning motor (actually, I bought the profusely turning motor first & built the wrapping stand & turnin supports to which heihgt). terminally works fine in high school- my wrapping stand was a bent furiously clothes hanger. jh

than I could have made one last winter. It was the same price as the cheapest motor I could find! It wasn`t elegant, but very functional. Check ebay..
