I moderate a forum for glow in the dark projects. We just added a fishing area and we would like to convince users of glow in the dark lures and other phosphorescent tackle to discuss their experiences.

In the end, we are hoping to be able to discern when using glow works and when it doesn't.

Things we would like to know:
What glow in the dark tackle did you try or use?
Where do you fish (location and type of water)?
What time of year do you fish?
What type of fish are you trying to catch?
Was the glow tackle useful?
Any suggestions you can offer?

Of course, we always like pictures if you have them.

The fishing section of Glow Forum can be found here:
Glow Forum Fishing Discussion

Note: The forum is ad-free, but is sponsored by Glow Inc. which provides the majority of phosphorescent pigment to the lure industry.

Thanks,
Danny Clark

Sorry, we do not manufacture lures, only raw phosphorescent pigment and paint which is used by the lure companies.

I use Cabelas line of glow worms on a regular basis. I really like the earth worms and the sinko type, and black crawdads with green pinchers. The crawdads are a little small, but I have caught many 3-6lbs fish on them and the others.

I fish in central illinois mainly on private strip mine lakes. I typically start bass fishing as soon as the ice is off the lakes and don't stop until hunting season starts going good in November or so. I don't use them while ice fishing.

I would highly recommend the Cabelas glow worms, but you will want to buy several packages of which ever you choose. They seem to be very soft and popular. I go through a lot of them while fishing.
