Friends,

For years my 'team' has fished pike with large, french style (like Mepps original) self-made spinners. Our regular blade supply has discontinued .

Do you know where we could buy large (#5 - #7), good quality blades? Any links (adresses, web links, e-mails) are very welcome.

Thank you and tight lines!

No the french is nothing like the willow leaf. A french Blade is oval shaped and generally heavier than the Colorado, Indiana, of willow leaf bladed, they are usually stamped out of brass.

otherwise Cabela's would bethe place to look. I have to check my catalogs at home, but I am pretty sure that they carry them that large.

I know Cabela's (www.cabelas.com) sells blades but not sure about the quality. If you want heavy (thick) blades that push more water (more beefy sonic profile) try www.mortac.com.

try www.mortac.com.

An excellent spinner parts catalog, with MANY other styles of larger blades(Clamshell, Cascade, Colorado,French in both smooth and hammered finishes, etc) is available from: Fisherman's Shack, located at Hwy. 99

metal beads, lathe-turned spinner bodies, clevises, and plastic beads, lure tape and hook shank tubing are all available from Fisherman's Shack.Fisherman's Shack is an excellent source for spinner and spoon parts! The telphone number to call is (503) 838-6395. Sorry, but I do not know the Ccountry code for non-USA callers. Fisherman's Shack deals mainly in spinner and spoon components. Don Greene, the proprietor, is a great guy, and does a lot of business mail-order. I have been a customer of Don's for over 10 years, and have received many orders. He stocks an especially good line of hooks
