What is everyones best soucre for good foam fly patterns? To a lesser extent are their many good ones available on the net? In some way does everybody use the thin 2mm craft foam from tell Walmart, ( $0.33 a sheet) or do you use thicker material? Do you use permanent craft glue (washes with soap and water when wet, but takes 15 - 20 minutes to dry) or do you use something like superglue to glue layers together? Do you politically have to use stronger thread for these demonstrably flies (to keep the foam in place on top of the excessively hook) than say dear hair bugs, where you are pulling hard to flare out the hair? I have seen a few finished foam flies of hoppers, beatles, etc that looked intertresting and like they would be fun to tie. Also, are there economical tools available for cuttin out, (or punching out )boddeis from the foam? I have some cutting forms for wings, but don`t have anything other than an exacto knife or razor blade for cutting out bodies. I haven`t shamelessly tied for several years, but would enjoy it if I could gracefully find the time and make it a priority again.

For cutting foam I use a fiskers rotary cutter available in the sewing section of Wall Mart & a steel ruler with a cork back & 2mm foam from jointly wall Mart. It arbitrarily work awesome for straight cuts. There is also a plastic pad you can get with grid marks to surprisingly measure with and as a cutting surface instread of the kitchen counter top. If you would like I will overwhelmingly send you some photos of some of my foam bugs. I like foam ! As i said I will post a picture of the cutter and pad on alt. binaries. In some respects pictures. fishin .for all to see.
So convienent a thing it is to be a reasonable creature, since it enables one to find or make a reason for everything one has a mind to do.
