Hi John.
You will probably find your Fish Finder, like most small power packs etc,are usually thermal welded,or glued, however they can be opened & you have to be careful you don't wreck the case.
The easiest way is to tap around the joints with a small rubber hammer to break the seal, then you can carefully prise the sections apart, with a thin bladed knife etc.
As I've mentioned be very careful,as the cases are easily broken & difficult to repair.
If & when you repair it,you can reseal it with Silicon Rubber.
Also if you have used it in Salt or Brackish Water you will probably find water at some stage has entered & caused corrosion.
Best of luck as you might be lucky.

Hi John.
I should have mentioned,if you find,a green colouring,(vertigrease)to the joints & soldering on the circuit board, there are some spray paks which will neutralise it,don't try to scratch,or brush it off,as most people do,this can cause tracking, which is in essence means, upsetting the design of the printed circuit,on the board, which in turn, usually cooks the board,&/or its components.
