Look for cover such as lilypads or fallen trees,rocks any kind of structure or cover also dropoffs. If your fishing lilypads/weeds try a weedless frog and reel it in almost as fast as you can if you geta hit wait until you feel the fish before setting the hook. Fishing underwater structure eelgrass,rocks or dropoffs try fishing with a swimbait or crank bait use various methods of retrieve such as fast slow deep shallow. find waht works. I have fished from shore my whole life.
