Do you oil your reel often and what oil do you use?

You don't have to get carried away & grase/oil your Reel ever time you go Fishing unless you fish in Salt,
Brackish waters or it has gone for a swim.
If it has been in the water then if a Spinning or Baitcaster then remove the sideplates,
if a Fly Reel remove the Spool,clean,dry it then regrease it with a good Reel Grease,I mostly give all parts a light smear of Petroleum Jelly or nowdays a Lanoline based Grease,also do the same before storage & your Reel should last for years,never put Reels away wet as you are inviting corrision to take place.
