Got one little trout @ one pound for six hours of trying yesterday at Camanche Reservoir near Stockton, Ca. But who's complaining?! I trolled and bait fished, just couldn't garner much attention. The lake is getting too warm for healthy trout (72° surface water now), and they've stopped the planting 'til October. The attraction is that Camanche puts out 10 pound trout quite often.

I did get my "transom saver" from Cabela's yesterday and got it installed today. I don't think that armored transom could be hurt towing with the engine raised, but no sense in taking chances. Photos at www.fishwisher.com

Hi Fish Wisher.
Do you ever try trolling at different depths?,
to get down into the cooler levels, because as the water warms the fish go in search of the cooler levels.

Yep, I troll where I mark 'em and also where I read others are trolling. This week I trolled 20' to 35' and marked most fish in that area. But fishing is real slow at Camanche now according to reports, and it's over for me 'til fall. The lake lice are taking over now as well, and I guess they can have it for the summer!
