Imagine yourself deep in the woods of Maine peering through the swarms of mosquitoes and black flies into the crystal clear water of your favorite brook trout haunt. That's good, that's very good... Now there's less competition for the rest of us deer hunting.

Approximately a month after we've finished not filling our deer tag, our thoughts will turn to the gentle harvesting of other tasty innocents, such as, our friend Salvelinus fontinalis, the brook trout. That's where my ebook "Trophy Brook Trout Fishing Techniques" will assist you to more intelligently make withdrawals from the population of unsuspecting brook trout cruising beneath the ice. Although this publication's primary goal is to provide information targeting the capture of larger trout, the techniques discussed will allow you to harvest more crispy fish. The ebook is currently available at http://www.lulu.com/content/1025028 for $2.95. Thank you for your donation.

Weekly trout fishing tips are available on my blog at http://trophytroutfishing.wordpress.com

If anyone decides to go to the Maine woods for brookies why not take a custom fly rod to make the trip even better? Phillips Run Fly Rods (www.thecustomflyrod.com) takes over 15 variables plus cosmetics into account to make the perfect rod for you!

Hi troutster and hntm, welcome to this forum.

I'm sorry to say I do not really like the terminology used for hunting and fishing in your post, troutster. I hope in your book you refrain from that.

Most hunters and fishermen are not in it for 'slaughter' - most hunters and fishermen have a deep respect for nature and its creatures - thus the term 'slaughter' isn't exactly in place, I think.

i hope I didn't insult you, but this is what I think.

I'm with Danube. The term slaughter is crude and it
certainly doesn't fit into any fishing terminology, especially Fly Fishing.
