anyone know what kind of fish this is?

HELP...I caught this fish today...can someone PLEASE tell me what it is??? it looks exotic, a glistening deep purple with rhinestones on the side and a yellow underbelly, the rhinestones (for lack of a better word) are on the belly also in the form of a square. wasn't sure it was poison or not so threw it back in the ocean.

It's amazing the Fish people catch,colour shape etc,
the only place I've seen a Fish similiar to this one is on a large vase & the only reason I can remember is by the colouring which was the same as in the picture, illumunious Purplish Blue,however someone else might know what type of fish it is.
