I don't have an oven in my possession for some period of time and wonder if there are any recipes meant for using an oven that could also work when using a toaster-oven?

Hi,Danube,Here's a good trout recipe you can use:
Place small Trout,or slices of trout or Salmon,on some foil, finely chop some mint, olives & mix with lemon,or lime juice, place some slices of onion & cucumber, either inside the fish,or over the slices, pour the mixture over the fish, then top with coconut cream,& slices of lemon.
Fold the foil around the fish,& make a sealed package, place in the oven,on a tray .It's also nice done in the coals of a fire,or on a BBQ.You can also cook it in a Dishwasher.
Hope you like it.

Right!

I will try this once for sure. Sounds very good (and all ingredients are available here, which is also a very good thing when cooking)

Hi,Danube.
Another recipe, stuff the trout with fried bacon & onion, add some mayonaise, cook also in foil.
I first saw Peter Doyle, whose family has fish Restuarants all around Sydney Harbour,
cooking fish dishwasher style,on a local TV show, years ago.
Also I just noticed the new foil I just bought isn't quite as thick as the old stuff, you might have to place two wraps over it,to possibly prevent a mess in the dishwasher. When we travelled long distances,in the past we kept our fish warm, and also heated our meat pies,on the valley covers, manifolds of our vehicles, the local Truckies still do it.
Good cooking.

The cook it anyway no fail Trout Gourmet recipe

In a 1 foot piece of tin foil. Place two nice eater trout about 12 inches long. Headless and tailless of course.

Spray or oil the inside of foil.(canola)

Sprinkle lemon on outside on skin and inside of cavity.

Fold the foil into a tight little packet. Place in oven...on grill..in toaster oven....or drop on fire. Fish will cook in ten minutes at 275 or above. Check after 5..turn over. Heat until flesh is opaque.

HMMMMMMMMMM good

Make up a packet of sliced potatoes with onion and butter. Food for the Gods!!
