I'm looking for a nice, medium action 8 foot, 4-5 wt fly rod. The ones I've found so far are way too pricey ($500 and up). Is there a manufacturer out there who makes a decent rod of this size for a "good" price? Thanks, Ron

Ron, you are right. All I can find in that category is also priced $500 and over. Have you thought about trying to get one from ebay?

Hi Ron.
There are Rods you require around for well under $500,TFO,Redington,Talon etc.
I saw on another site a Custom Rod Maker selling rods @ Good Prices.
Also have you checked the guy who advertises on this site.

I am looking for pretty much the same thing. Temple Fork Outfitters makes a Lefty Kreh Finesse series but it is 7'9''. I am also considering the Redington Classic Trout but it is 8'6''. Gloomis makes use to make an Adventure series 8'6''. All are medium action though. The Sage Launch may be another to consider 8'6'' it is medium fast. I believe you can get these all for under 200. I also want an 8 but I think I am going to settle with the TFO 7'9''.
