1921 rod and reel

I have a rod and reel that has a steel rod with a glass guide on the end with a reel like a ice fishing reel.The reel is engraved with fisherman catching a fish on it.Name on reel is STUBBY.Mfd.by the American Display co.Dayton.Ohio Patented Oct.4,1921.Any iformation you have will be appericated

what did you find out about your rod?? i have one just like it

I 8f have a Stubby rod and reel patented 1919. It has a steel rod and aluminum reel with brass swivel tip. just something unique for my collection of ice rods.

I just purchased the same exact rod in a shop in Wausau, WI this week. Would like to know more about it.

Is your reel integrated into the rod and a hardwood inlaid handle?
